I'd been thinking of creating a Tory Chums comic strip to coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December however Bell's work inspired me and I thought Halloween could be a good way of using my idea with a few tweaks. It plays on several themes, such as the media beginning to vilify Conservative views towards welfare and the idea that Rupert Murdoch is really the Emperor of the Establishment.
Critically, I feel that my line work has improved with my understanding of line weighting becoming more apparent. I have also begun to add texture to the pieces, however there is much more room for improvement from that standpoint.
Additionally - I felt it quite difficult making David Cameron recognisable by his face. If I move forward with my visual investigation into his appearance hopefully this won't be as big an issue when I create my final practical piece.
