Today I began working on the politicians who will star in my Big Bother book. Those are; Natalie Bennett - Green Party, Nigel Farage - UKIP, Nicola Sturgeon - SNP, Nick Clegg - Liberal Democrat, Ed Miliband - Labour, David Cameron - Conservative.
I found some joy in the initial sketches with Nigel Farage and Nick Clegg, however some others, like Nicola Sturgeon, Natalie Bennett and David Cameron will take more work. Concerning Cameron, I feel that he works better without eyebrows as it makes him look more villainous!
I think that I'm going to design a small book (or zine) in which each page will be a singular panel, perhaps showing an event similar to something that each politician has been criticised for. For example, David Cameron is eating all of the dinner whilst everyone else goes hungry, or Nigel Farage wants to stop people migrating between rooms of the house etc. This book could potentially be released digitally or created on mass physically to be handed out to an audience that are in the know about politics and would find humour in the escapades of these politicians.
